1912 US Navy Coat-Dumas Bay

My uncle invited me to a dressy work-related event with him while I was visiting him and my aunt about a week ago. The event was at a small conference center called Dumas Bay, near Seattle, Washington.

I purchased it in Plymouth, Massachusetts, back in May. Since then I have given it a new lining and buttons and I removed all of the trim, which turned out to be made of a cheap plastic material. This coat was part of the US Navy dress uniform from 1802 until 1922 (at least according to the info I found...if you have more info I would love it if you would tell me!). My coat was made on 6 June 1912, according to a label inside the breast pocket. I still want to put a pair of shoulder boards on the coat, because it has some rather obvious shoulder board hooks that need to be covered up. The shoulder boards I envision are black with a single gold button so as not to look inappropriately military-esque.
